Volunteer Information Center
NAMI is a peer-based, grassroots organization and volunteers play a vital role in the life of NAMI Multnomah. Our volunteers facilitate our classes and support groups, serve on panels, share their stories out in the community, advocate for better systems and work on a wide variety of administrative tasks. Volunteers enable NAMI Multnomah to live out its mission so that our services and outreach can remain strong and continue to grow within the larger community!
We host a volunteer orientation twice a month: 1) the 2nd Wednesday at 3:00 and 2) the 4th Tuesday at 5:30 PM. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact the Outreach Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check out NAMI Multnomah’s current open positions. We are always recruiting for new volunteers. As a NAMI Multnomah volunteer you are provided training, ongoing support, and encouragement. You will receive specialized training to fulfill your job. You will have opportunities to utilize your expertise in meaningful ways. Through volunteering, individuals become knowledgeable advocates for people with mental illness and their families.
Current volunteers need to record their volunteer hours each month. These hours are helpful when applying for grants and creating the annual report. Enter your volunteer hours here.
In order to volunteer as a NAMI Signature Program teacher or facilitator you must complete a NAMI Oregon training. Check out current upcoming NAMI Oregon trainings.
