This event is the first session of the following six-week class:

NAMI Basics
A free, peer-led educational course for parents and caregivers of youth up to age 21 experiencing mental health barriers and/or behavioral challenges.
Dates: January 9th-February 13th, 2024

Are you interested in volunteering to teach our NAMI Basics class? If so, this training is for you!

These trainings prepare volunteers to lead NAMI programs. All trainings are being conducted via Zoom until further notice. Trainees should attend trainings using a laptop or desktop computer and not a mobile device, and do so from a quiet space where interruptions and distractions will be minimal. To be eligible to take this training, you must be a parent or other primary caretaker of a child/adolescent who began experiencing mental health issues prior to age 13, OR have previously taken a NAMI Basics class.
